Show unread messages counter behind labels

I would be really useful to add an unread message counter behind de labels in the navigation on the left.

  • Thanks for sharing this idea Henk! Just to clarify: would you like to see the number of unread or unanswered messages in the left side bar? We don't store data about read/unread messages but being able to see how many messages still need to be answered would be a nice addition. I'll keep you posted!

    • Aga Wenska  Hi Aga, This should be the number of unanswered messages. (maybe by counting unassigned and open?)

Yes! This would be awesome. I'm getting stressed out seeing such high numbers behind "Assigned to you". My monkeybrain interprets this a "tasks to do".

Maybe make it a choice? See the total amount, see the unanswered amounts or see both (like 2/81 ... two unanswered and 81 messages).

Next to "Assigned to you" I just would like to see how many unanswered mails it has. But after the different labels I would like to see the total amount of open messages. A label in our company can be "Bugs", or "Leads", of "Upsells". And I always want to see how many tickets we have in upsells and leads because it tells me how many unused opportunities there are.

    • Eduard Wustenveld Hi Eduard, thanks for supporting this idea!
I think I have a suggestion for you regarding an overview where labels are involved. With views you can create personalised folders showing tickets only with certain labels or assigned to a certain agent.
By the way, in order to keep you tickets organised I suggest to close tickets which are already answered (they can always be re-opened by reminders). This way only the unanswered ones will remain open.

Aga Wenska View do not work for me. The don't have a number after their label and the conditions are useless in my case. There is no way I can create a view if I want to see all tickets assigned to me that have not been answered.

If I look at the conditions in "rules" there are much more. I can make a rule that adds a label if a mail is unanswered so I can add that label as a condition for my view. But that is kinda dirty :)

I only close tickets that are closed ... if I answer a ticket it does not mean the case is closed. It just means I have answered a question, or asked a question to know more about the problem my client is facing. I need to know which questions are not answered and which clients still have issues with something.
