Quicker deleting

Hi.. could you please let me know if anyone is working on a quicker way to delete messages (I don't meed bulk deleting, although that isn't the most user friendly either as its easy to click just off a circle once and you lose all the selected ones, being able to use keys with shift would be better)? It currently takes quite a few clicks in different parts of the screen just to delete one message. I need to delete lots of messages every time I log in and its very cumbersome. Just one click or delete key, with a deleted box (perhaps for 24 hours or a limited time) so you can retrieve would be ideal. Thanks

Marco Oosterlaken Hi Marco.... Can you please explain how to use that or how it helps? Currently it takes 4 clicks to delete every message which really adds up when deleting hundreds of messages every week. Thanks

Marco Oosterlaken Hi Marco... I didn't hear back about this. How do I use the shift and ctrl button to delete more quickly? I'm not sure if I'm being stupid but I can't see how that works. Thanks

    • Tim B if I am correct you are currently clicking every e-mail. You can use the shift and ctrl button if all ''spam'' are stand below eachother. You can scroll down and then click on the last ''spam'' and delete them all at once. This will still takes 4 click but the scrolling down and not selecting one by one is going faster.

Marco Oosterlaken Hi Marco.. thanks, that will help with the selecting when then are sequential, however the main problem is that most of the messages I have to delete are in-between other messages that are not to be deleted so are not sequential. It is the fact that I have 4 clicks to delete every individual message each time which is rather frustrating. Is there anything in the pipeline to address that? Thanks

  • Hi Tim B Tim, thank you for your question!

I think, Marco Oosterlaken 's way would work for you quite well. Deleting messages with the shift and/or crtl button (depending on your device) is simple and works as follows:
Go to your Trengo Inbox and click on the tickets you want to delete while holding the shift button pressed. An action button will appear on the top of your ticket overview. Choose the "Delete" option from the drop down menu. Please check our Help Center article about Bulk Actions https://help.trengo.com/en/articles/5593-nog-sneller-werken-door-middel-van-bulkacties

Have you thought about setting up a Rule deleting/closing all the unnecessary e-mails you receive every day? I really recommend that so you can start your day with a clean inbox already! Aga Wenska Hi Aga... thanks but as I mentioned in the first question, my main problem is not bulk deleting. I'm not deleting lots of emails at the same time but clearing my inbox as and when they come in, sometimes deleting 1,2 or 3 at a time but regularly all day. Is this not a problem for anyone else? It is the fact that there are 4 clicks to delete one message that is the problem. In outlook its one click on the dustbin or press of the delete key. Is there any hope of getting to something like that? I can't auto delete as I may want read a message first and what I want to delete will vary on the day and the contents of the message. Thanks

    • Tim B There was some delay in posting my reply, that is why my answer did not completely cover your recent question. Sorry for that!
Quicker deleting of a single message, I get it. I will update you as soon I have an update on that!
In meantime, maybe closing a ticket (instead of deleting it) would be an option for you? That is done with one click on the checkmark in the upper right corner:

Thereafter, you could set up a Rule deleting closed e-mails based on certain conditions (sender address etc) after a certain period of time.

Aga Wenska Ok thanks Aga... I will look forward to hearing. Yes I close lots of messages too but I don't want to keep messages and emails I know I don't want again as they will clog up the searches I do later. Particularly newsletters once I have read them. Thanks

  • Hi... I don't suppose there is an update on this is there? Or if its something you are working on? I still spend so much time each day clicking lots of times to delete messages. Thanks very much
