Suggestion for the red Notifications 'bell'

The red 'new messages' icon continues to lag behind the actual open messages. In my opinion, the red 'bell' is mainly intended to draw attention to tickets that have yet to be picked up.

You would expect that notifications from conversations that have been picked up / closed / deleted will automatically disappear from the list of notifications and thus lower the red bell by '1'. You now have to manually set the notifications to 0 via 'mark everything as read'.

Would be nice if this happens automatically as soon as a ticket has been picked up.
